Current local priorities

• The local community has expressed concerns regarding the issue of robbery and phone snatches in the local area. We have seen a rise in this crime type along the A10 junction with the Crossway outside bars and restaurants in the area. The issue tends to occur in the evenings and late at night, with victims being often being distracted immediately prior to the snatch. This is a long term goal and the safer neighbourhood team will set up a number of operations to target this.
• Concerns raised by the residents over cyclists failing to stop at the pedestrian crossing on the A10 near Palatine Road. There is an increased risk of danger during school drop off and pick up times.
• Theft from retail premises affects all uses of local stores. The local community have particularly noticed this at CoOp, Stoke Newington Road.
