Local Policing
This point falls in the Chelsea Riverside neighbourhood, covered by the Metropolitan Police.
Current local priorities
- Youth Violence and Anti-social Behaviour: To reduce incidents of Serious Youth Violence (SYV) and Anti-social behaviour around the World’s End Estate. Measured by monitoring the number of ASB reports relating to the World's End Estate and surrounding area, and the number of crime reports/CADs relating to incidents of SYV. This can be achieved by a combination of high-visibility patrols within the estate, targeted use of stop and search tactics, weapons sweeps and joint working with RBK&C council and private security staff, supporting applications for injunctions against repeat offenders, and use of Community Protection Warnings/Community Protection Notices where appropriate. This is repeatedly highlighted as an issue by local residents’ groups and Ward Panel members, and has been an ongoing problem for a number of years. This will be measured and reviewed at the next Ward Panel meeting (every three months).
- Drug Use and Drug Dealing: To reduce drug use and drug dealing in and around the World’s End estate. Measured by the number of drug-related ASB reports relating to these areas, the number of positive stop and searches in the area and anecdotal evidence given by Ward Panel members. This can be achieved by high-visibility patrols, cycle patrols, targeted use of stop and search tactics, intelligence-led plain-clothes proactive patrols, engagement with residents to encourage reporting of offences/use of Crimestoppers. This issue has been highlighted by residents and Ward Panel members recently, and also evidenced by regular positive outcomes from stop and searches carried out by ward officers. This will be measured and reviewed at the next Ward Panel meeting (every three months).
- Dangerous Cyclists Operations to enforce traffic laws against those riding on pavements, jumping lights, or using overpowered bikes.

How to Read This
Designed for travel planning, not certainty.
- Recent street-level incidents within the selected radius are weighted by category.
- Violence, robbery, weapons and burglary carry higher weight than lower-severity categories.
- A stable neighbourhood baseline from the official English Indices of Deprivation crime domain anchors the score.
- Dense central visitor areas are normalized so footfall does not automatically imply danger.
- Improving recent trend slightly lifts the score; a rising trend lowers it.
- The score is indicative and based only on public recorded crime data, not a guarantee of personal safety.
