Local Policing

This point falls in the Brentford East neighbourhood, covered by the Metropolitan Police.

Current local priorities

  • Burglaries- There has been an increase in burglaries including commercial and parcel theft offences. We will look to work with communities to prevent crimes as well as targeting offenders. Conduct high visibility and plain clothes patrols and operations
  • Vehicle and Vehicle enabled crime- Though we have significantly reduced it, we continue to see high levels of vehicle and vehicle enabled crime. This includes theft from and theft of vehicles, thefts of cycles and thefts where the suspects are on eBikes, cycles and mopeds. We aim to tackle this head on and significantly reduce offending across the area.
  • Drugs and linked ASB- Drug dealing and use is linked to wider crime including theft and gang violence. Drug hotspots are being identified with view of a targeted approach.

How to Read This

Designed for travel planning, not certainty.

  • Recent street-level incidents within the selected radius are weighted by category.
  • Violence, robbery, weapons and burglary carry higher weight than lower-severity categories.
  • A stable neighbourhood baseline from the official English Indices of Deprivation crime domain anchors the score.
  • Dense central visitor areas are normalized so footfall does not automatically imply danger.
  • Improving recent trend slightly lifts the score; a rising trend lowers it.
  • The score is indicative and based only on public recorded crime data, not a guarantee of personal safety.
